Captain

Where will you be working?

We are located at 4 locations in Amsterdam and expanding rapidly. Our fleet consists of a total of 57 independently navigable boats and 6 large boats, where you will be the captain. This is divided between our two boat rental companies: Canal Motorboats and Eco Boats Amsterdam. When you apply with us, you’ll be working for both boat rental companies, making every day unique!

Fun fact: Canal Motorboats, our sister company, has been in operation since 1996, making it the longest-lasting boat rental in Amsterdam.

What will you be doing?

• Welcoming customers on the dock
• Cruising the canals in Amsterdam
• Tidying up the boats between cruises
• Ensuring safety on board
• Telling stories during the journey
• Being an ambassador for Amsterdam
• Ensuring an unforgettable experience

Who are you?

• You are 18 years or older
• You have a Small Craft License
• You have a Marifoon Certificaat (Short Range Certificate)
• You are independent and responsible
• Customer-oriented and communicative
• Available for a minimum of 2 days per week
• Available on weekends as well
• Proficient in both Dutch and English
• Knowledge of a third language is a plus
• Experience in the hospitality industry is a plus
