Keizers Boat capacity and rental price

The Keizers Boat accommodates 1 to 12 people and costs from €60 per hour. The minimum rental duration is 2 hours. The price is for the private boat, not per person.

A mandatory city tax of €2.60 per passenger is added during booking and applies to all boat rentals in Amsterdam.

Drive the boat yourself without a boating license

You are the captain of your own boat. Before departure, our team explains the steering controls, suitable routes, and the main rules for boating in Amsterdam.

No previous boating experience is necessary. The Keizers Boat is controlled with a steering wheel, and you receive a route map to take on board. The captain must be at least 18 years old and remain sober throughout the rental.

Optional activities for your boat trip

Add an activity to your Keizers Boat booking for €3 per person.

Plastic fishing

Collect plastic from the Amsterdam canals while you cruise. We provide nets and rubbish bags, so your group has everything needed to take part.

Plastic fishing is suitable for adults and children and adds an active element to your time on the water.

Amsterdam canals quiz

Test your group’s knowledge of Amsterdam’s canals, landmarks, and history. We provide the questions, quiz sheets, and pens needed to play on board.

Separate versions are available for adults and children. Tell us how many people are taking part when booking, so we can prepare enough quiz sheets.

Why choose the Keizers Boat

Amsterdam stays busy on land. On the water, your group sets the pace.

The Keizers Boat offers enough room for up to 12 people to sit together while cruising quietly through the city. The boat is exclusively for your group, so you decide where to go and how quickly you want to travel.

Simple steering controls make the boat easy to handle. Storage compartments beneath the seats keep bags and belongings out of the way.
