The Amstel Boat is a comfortable, 7-seater self-drive boat rental for friends, families, and small groups who want to explore Amsterdam at their own pace. You are the captain. Before departure, our team explains how the boat works, which routes you can follow, and the main rules for boating in Amsterdam.
The Amstel Boat is easy to steer with a steering wheel, even if you have no previous boating experience. You also receive a route map before departure. The captain must be at least 18 years old.
The Amstel Boat accommodates 1 to 7 people. The boat is exclusively for your group, so you can choose your own route, stop for a break, and explore Amsterdam at your own pace.
The Amstel Boat departs from Daniël Goedkoopstraat 1, 1096 BD Amsterdam. The location is around a 15-minute walk from Overamstel metro station and is easy to reach by public transport or bicycle. Paid parking is available nearby.
From Amsterdam East, you can leave the traffic behind and begin your trip towards the quieter Amsterdam canals.
Rent the Amstel Boat from €50 per hour. The minimum rental duration is 2 hours. A mandatory city tax of €2.60 per person is added during booking. This applies to all boat rentals in Amsterdam.
Add an activity to your Amstel Boat booking for €3 per person.
Collect plastic from the canals while you cruise. We provide nets and rubbish bags, so your group has everything needed to take part. It is an easy activity for children and adults and helps leave the Amsterdam canals a little cleaner than you found them.
