How much does plastic fishing cost?

Plastic fishing is only €3 per person. We’ll provide you with nets and trash bags for the trip. We need to charge a fee because this activity is extremely popular, and the nets are in high demand. So, make sure to book early! You can select plastic fishing as an option during the reservation process. Choose how many people want to participate, and each person will get their own net.

Tip: Turn it into a competition – who can fish the most trash out of the canals?

Unique experience

At Eco Boats Amsterdam, we turn plastic fishing into more than just a cleanup activity – it’s a fun, meaningful, and eco-friendly experience. Feel the satisfaction of a cleaner canal while exploring Amsterdam with us in a way that truly makes a difference. Amsterdam is our home, and we’re proud of our iconic canals, which have been a UNESCO World Heritage site since 2010. Together, we can keep these beautiful canals clean. Plastic fishing isn’t just good for the environment; it’s also a fun and unique activity in Amsterdam. It’s an experience you won’t find anywhere else, and it’s enjoyable for all ages!

How does plastic fishing work?

We recommend renting a boat at least 2 hours for this activity, although you’re welcome to enjoy it for longer if you like. Choose a relaxing route and collect as much plastic and other waste as you can from the canals. It’s helpful to separate the trash directly on board.

How to book plastic fishing?

  • Book a boat for self-sailing with plastic fishing as an additional option
  • Receive a route map, nets, and trash bags on board
  • We’ll give you a detailed briefing on sailing rules before you head out
  • On board, you’ll find comfortable blankets, cushions, and life jackets for children if needed
