The Barbarella Saloon Boat

The Barbarella has a unique history. This boat was specially designed and built in the 1960s for Maup Caransa, an influential real estate entrepreneur in Amsterdam.

After World War II, Maup built an impressive business empire and owned several large hotels in the city center. The Barbarella played an important role in both his professional and social life. The boat was often used to entertain influential guests in complete luxury and privacy, creating a historical atmosphere that can still be felt aboard today.

Nowadays, the boat is fully modernized, while still keeping the vintage interior. Thanks to its new, electric engine, you cruise the canals quietly and sustainably without compromising on comfort, luxury, and elegance.
